10/12/91: Kurt Cobain & Courtney Love crashed here (right underneath one of the cherubs) when arriving in Newport for that evenings HOLE gig ( ask their agent, Russell Warby - he was driving)

5th March 1913: Houdini jumps off the bridge(hands manacled & feet shackled). He was done the following week by the police for obstructing a public highway and for holding a public entertainment on the bridge (an old local bye law).
