Home to Size 8 Recordings, live music Thursdays, quiz on Sundays and the only place in Newport to sell the lovely Hoegaarden beer. Upstairs is noisy with Julian (Armstrong) blasting out Indie-tastic tunes to da kids. Downstairs is quiet with the jaded oldsters listening to yesterdays hits on the jukebox.
This is what I can guarantee upon entering the downstairs 'lounge' - Mike Cole of the Dolls will be sat at the bar eating his tea (Wotsits & salted peanuts), next to him stood under the speaker will be Tony T-Shirt and Debbie. Kieron will be stood in the gap of the bar playing with his blu-tack intermittently telling people to put some music on, Louise will probably be pissed and her usual bolshy self and then Novocaine's Dicky Jackson will turn up late...
